About
Intelligence for finance leaders navigating AI, markets and operational risk — how complex systems actually run.
Jerry Xiong is a finance leader in the commodity trading industry, based in Singapore. He writes at the intersection of the systems he works with daily: corporate finance and controls, AI adoption and its governance, commodity markets, and the operational machinery behind businesses that move physical things.
Briefs are written for people who carry decisions — CFOs, controllers, treasury, risk and compliance owners, and operators — and aim to explain how a mechanism actually transmits, not to forecast. Most briefs are bilingual: English and 中文 on the same page, with a toggle.
- Finance, AI & Governance AI as evidence, controls and compliance in the model era, benchmarks read from the finance seat, and what enterprise AI adoption does to the control environment.
- Commodities & Geopolitics LPG, freight and the macro channels that transmit into physical markets — with geopolitics treated as an operating constraint, not a headline.
- Operations & Economic Thought How complex operations really run, and the older economic ideas that still explain them.
